Information Advisory - Management System Audits 2025-2026

We conducted six audits on the processes and systems companies use to manage their work. Three were focused on emergency management and three were focused on how the company keeps their equipment and worksites operating safely. These are important elements of a company’s overall management system.
We shared what we found with regulated companies in an Information Advisory.
We expect all companies to make sure they address any issues we found in the audits.
Common areas that need improvement include:
- Processes for identifying hazards and risks
- Document control
- Change management
- Communication processes
These findings will be part of our future compliance checks with companies including inspections and audits. If companies don't follow the rules, we follow up with strict enforcement to keep people and pipelines safe.
